Back (side) Stabbers Plaguing J-Lo?!?

Los Angeles - Rumors are swirling that evil-doers are trying to stab Jennifer Lopez in the back (side) to ruin her chances of finally signing an agreement to host Fox’s flailing American Idol.  It’s believed the unnamed “competition” is planting rumors about J-Lo’s diva-like demands, and as the Fox network is used to reporting rumors via their news outlet, network officials are becoming mightily confused during the process.

We asked a well-connected industry source about the controversy and he said, “Well, it’s kind of sad for J-Lo.  Three years of being a real housewife of Long Island has left her Tweeting pictures of her bling just to boost her self-esteem lately and now this.  They were really only considering Elton John and Barry Manilow before her, and they both turned Idol down flat.  Steven Tyler was already signed and sealed because he promised to fall off the stage while performing during the ratings sweeps, but J-Lo has definitely still been in serious negotiations as and as far as I know, they have been pretty standard.  So, you can forget about a key part of Lopez’s deal involving a stipulation that she should be able to bathe in the tears of Idol contestant cast-offs, because it was never true.  At least, I’m pretty sure it wasn’t.”
