Mayor Alec Baldwin?

New York – Speculation is building that politically astute actor Alec Baldwin may be considering a New York City mayoral run in 2013 in the wake of “Weinergate.”

Baldwin has already announced that 2012 will be his last year on the sitcom 30 Rock and fans believe the high-profile political junkie could be just the ticket for the Democrats in the greatest city on Earth.

One of the actor’s pals told Unsolicited Drivel, “As a poly-sci major in college and a damn convincing actor, Alec has always been destined to run for office and the mayoral race is just around the corner. We’ll have to find a way to keep his brother Stephen from showing up at fundraisers, but we’ll just tell him on the day of the events that it’s really the Rapture. I know many folks thought it would be a natural for Alec to run for Congress, but the bigoted, ticking time bomb from Alec’s district that is Rep. Peter King hasn’t imploded yet. Everybody knows Weiner had his sights set on City Hall and that looks like just a pipe dream now that folks know he likes to show his plumbing to chicks on-line. Regardless of what Rep. Weiner’s packing, I don’t think voters would appreciate the mental image of him whipping it out. With Alec, there would only be the only be the fear of him verbally chewing his constituents’ private parts off and then calling them rude little pigs.”
