Down Hill Racy!

There’s a new Lindsey on the scene and she’s wearing a different kind of lycra leggings; ones that aren’t soaked with vodka and dotted with cigarette burns.  Lindsey Vonn may be the greatest American female skier ever and she’s hoping that the new Sports Illustrated cover of her looking like she’s presenting herself kind of like that other Lindsay might after a long night at Chateau Marmont, doesn’t jinx her chances!  Her somewhat suggestive pose is drawing anger from critics who claim it objectifies her – something we typically reserve for only after Olympians win multiple gold medals and we can make them pose naked rolling around while wearing them for posters that we can hang on our dorm room walls and blow bong smoke on (see: Mark Spitz).  Some concede the pose is suggestive, but it’s not as if S.I. posed her in a hot tub in a bikini. Nobody complained when Sports Illustrated featured a dude in the exact same post back in 1992.  But maybe they would have had it been drag hill racing?   Bottoms up!
