Republicans Propose Vote to Repeal the Term “Wealthiest”

Washington, DC – In a move that came as a shock to almost everyone, President Obama turned back into a Democrat yesterday and finally called for the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share of taxes.

Obama stated, "It's only right we ask everyone to pay their fair share.  I will not support any plan that puts the entire burden for closing our deficit on Warren Buffett’s secretary.  I don’t know why I didn’t think of this plan ages ago! Like two years ago when my party was in control.  My bad."

Not surprisingly, the shockingly bold move from the President caused an immediate outcry from Republicans, this time to repeal the term “wealthiest.”  Speaker Boehner spoke after Obama’s press conference stating, “This is class warfare on the job creators plain and simple.  By the time you pay the salaries of the maid, the limo driver, the nanny, the bartender, the shoeshine guy, the lawn boy, the dog walker, and the Twitter and Facebook updaters, there’s very little money leftover for a job creator to scrape by.  Maybe only as little as $1,000,000 or so for the average wealthy* American.  And the American people don’t want their government’s economic strategy to depend solely on class warfare.  That’s why my colleagues and I are proposing we immediately repeal the term ‘wealthiest.’  That way we will have no longer have class distinctions and all Americans will finally be equal - just like the founding fathers intended."

*According to NPR 46% of Congress are millionaires.
