Simon Sez He’s Out – But is the King of All Media In?

While most people were shocked when Simon Cowell and his million dollar moobs announced this season would be their last on “American Idol” we were not.  Just the prospect of even a remote chance of having to watch Ellen DeGeneres break into spontaneous dance during the show would be enough for us to gnaw our own hand off were it tethered to the judges’ table just to exit the building to avoid that sight, so we seriously can’t blame the limey bastard for bailing.  As we reported last week in a news bulletin, shock jock Howard Stern has been considering taking Cowell’s place.  At first we thought it would be a deal breaker if contestants would not agree to his terms of trying to sing out of each and every bodily orifice, but sources at Fox say this may not be the case. Shameless whore willing to bankrupt any media outlet that he can, Stern has mentioned the possibility of taking over for Cowell more than once on his radio show and what’s wrong with turning a show with a stale, aging format into something many more of us can relate to –- a freaking karoke contest amongst bikini clad female contestants in a Long Island basement?    Plus, who can complain about less Seacrest and more Baba Booey?  So, maybe it could be awesome, or it could be a complete disaster.  If ratings really start to tank, they can at least rename it “American Infidel,” and maybe Al Jazeera might pick it up.
