Parker revealed in a recent interview, "I think there's one more story to tell. I know there is. I'd definitely tell that third story, but not in a prequel form so they can cast Blake Lively as a young Carrie. You may have been hearing rumors about that, but I don’t think anybody’s interested going in reverse to see how Carrie got to be the way she is and see how much hotter she used to be, just like we weren’t interested in her ever evolving, as she seemed to go in reverse in the last movie.”
Parker’s plans for a third film seemed overly ambitious to us considering how poorly the second one did at the box office. Unsolicited Drivel spoke with an insider close to the actress and writer Michael Patrick King who told us:
“Certainly, they are going to have to pay more attention to the characters this time around, as it was clear from the last film that plot development is not their strong suit. Expect to see a lot of irony to keep it interesting. Perhaps we might look for Samantha to get an ovary transplant to make her horny again, but the organs will come from a teenager who committed suicide due to bullying over her being a virgin. Miranda, previously the most bitter and cynical one, will continue to become the most levelheaded and domestically happy one. Her kid, Brady, might not even need therapy beyond preschool. Charlotte’s going to get fed up with having cupcake frosting smeared on her ass by her kids, finally take a good look at Harry and leave them and go back to Chelsea and open her own gallery. Oh, and she’ll also become the first Preppy lesbian. Aidan will be killed off by an irate musk deer while searching for upholstery fabric dyed by using rare Siberian Blue Poppies. And Carrie will leave Big once and for all because he develops a reality TV addiction to the "Real Housewives" series. After the divorce is final, Carrie will make formal lifetime a commitment in a civil ceremony to a sling-back Italian leather shoe.”
