Faux Democrat Specter Finally Sent to Glue Factory

Philadelphia - Yesterday was a very bad day for Democratic Senator Arlen Specter, as he lost his bid for reelection in the primary to U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak, garnering only 46% percent of the vote to Sestak’s 54%.

Specter, a fixture on Capitol Hill since 1981, is probably still scratching his head this morning trying to figure out what went wrong.  Was it merely anti-incumbent sentiment, or something else? We were wondering what went wrong for Specter too.  You would think he would have been voted out years ago simply for being a dick to professor Anita Hill at the Clarence Thomas hearings, or for being a dick for defending dick Trent Lott, who was defending racist dick, Strom Thurmond, but you would be wrong.  That was back when Specter was a Republican, and dickishness is not typically frowned upon among their ilk.  Some (see: Dick Cheney) could even be considered “dickologists.”

We asked one Pennsylvania voter for his take on Arlen getting creamed and he offered this, “well, it was a very rainy day, so the people who would vote for him simply out of name recognition that also would be too far in the early stages of dementia to realize he had switched parties, probably didn’t leave the house to go to the polls for fear of breaking a hip.  Also, there’s the dreadful thought of having to watch him interrogate Elena Kagan about her love of softball during the televised hearings for her to become a Supreme Court Justice.  Nobody wants to see that.  But bottom line, he very likely hanged himself by admitting he only switched parties to get elected.  Probably one of the few honest remarks ever made a by a politician in this country and he totally f@#ked himself. Too funny.”

Speaking as the head of Fox brand glue, he's too old, even for us. Try donating him to Chef-Boyardee.
