A production assistant on the iconic talk show told Unsolicited Drivel, “Planning the 2-hour ‘Farewell Spectacular to Oprah Goddess of the Airwaves’ special for May 23rd and 24th has been an awesome experience, but the final show on Wednesday, May 25th is really going to blow viewers’ minds! Our talent booker figured what better guest for the last show than the host of the Last Supper himself – Jesus Christ! And sure enough, he was available. Oprah thought it was a great idea for obvious reasons, but also because she’s getting tired of the press comparing her to Jesus lately. She wants to make it clear to her fans that she’s not a deity, so if her OWN network fails, she can just retire quietly and she and Gayle can live a simple life away from Steadman. I mean, away from the public eye. Also, Jesus wanted to do the show because of the timing. Everybody thinks he’s coming back for the Rapture on the 21st, so he’s going to show up on the 25th instead just to totally mess with his followers. Ironically, he has a wicked sense of humor.”
