GOP to Face Greatest Threat Yet?

Cyberspace – The Republican party faces numerous challenges pushing their agendas through with a Democratic majority in our current government, but that may be just the tip of the iceberg as far as their challenges are concerned.  They have often relied heavily on a “family values” angle to recruit party members, as the “We can help you build a bigger stock portfolio than God,” angle never really took off in middle America.  Still, in recent years, some real duds have kept getting through their screening process and are giving Republicans an even worse name (We won’t name names, but don’t let that stop you from Googling the Governor’s races in both Georgia and South Carolina for starters!).  And now, it has come to our attention*, that what may become their biggest foe yet is lurking on the horizon…possible extinction.  Yes!  Liberals have actually started a group on Facebook to discourage each other from cross breeding with conservatives.  Now you may say, “why would a conservative bang a liberal to begin with!?!”  Besides the obvious reasons, occasionally, people from both sides of the field can find common ground. Like for example, a love of God and country and/or a general distaste for being a soulless narcissist.  Doesn’t happen every day mind you, but it COULD happen.  A member of the Republican Party, who was NOT a participant in either the “Revisionist Historian /God Hates Everyone Who Aren’t Us” branch, or the “Golden Parachutes Before People” branch, offered this, “to say I’m not concerned would be a lie.  Not because I usually date liberals though.  And, I did narrowly escape a moment of introspection after reading their posts. But, is Facebook a real threat? I may be in the minority opinion, but I believe our gene pool is starting to get a little shallow (see: Sarah Palin), so this could be serious indeed.  Heck, a poodle in a tinfoil hat was nearly posed to take down Glenn Beck because of Facebook before we finally muzzled him.   So, what chance do we have going up against real humans who will never bang us because they actually read the newspaper?”
