Internet Ad Freak of The Week

I haven't done this in a couple of weeks because there hasn't been a new scam ad that was worthy, but this one is just too precious.  Whoever the schlock house is that is churning these ads out for these unscrupulous companies is just screwing with us now.  They have to be.  I know.  I have worked in advertising more years than I care to remember, and you have to find your kicks where you may, as there is no room for creativity in most agencies outside the big city.  So, we often found ourselves doing things to blow off steam as to not strangle our customers with our bare hands.   Like, yelling the word "FUCK" into a microphone with the killer delay switch on in the recording booth, sending echoes throughout the entire soundstage moments before they arrived for a shoot.  Or, taking a still of some nasty bitch client's facial wart, pixilating it, and then unbeknownst to her, using it as the background in her crap commercial.  So, these people are definitely screwing with us.  If I don’t come to that conclusion, I still have to criticize their use of a carny freak as a model.  In a recession, one of the first things people cut back on is entertainment, so she’d surely be laid off by now and unable to afford her mortgage.
