Don’t Be Jealous of Their Boogie: Dancing Soldiers Escape Reprimand

Afghanistan – American soldiers who uploaded a video of themselves to the Internet grooving to Lady Gaga will not face any charges of “conduct unbecoming” the U.S. Army confirmed today.   The routine by the paratroopers in western Afghanistan imitating Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” video has made the troops overnight stars.

An Army spokesperson told us, “well, it certainly isn’t like any of our typical training or recruitment videos, but the if government finally gets off its bloated ass and repeals ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell,’ already, this video could be a very useful recruiting tool indeed.  I’m relieved that they won’t be disciplined for just having fun and getting some exercise.  With what we are given to eat, carbs wrapped in carbs, we need all the exercise we can get, and if you are a fan of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ you know what great exercise dancing can be.  Besides, they didn’t include any prisoners on leashes wearing hoods in the video and the Pentagon sincerely appreciates that.   Superiors back it up and it’s a morale booster.  They have to have some way to blow off steam and these boys are literally lip-synching for their lives.”
