Despite hoping to keep it secret (after doing a year-long engagement publicity tour), details continue to emerge about the wedding of pop songstress (and Elmo violator) Katy Perry and comedian (and possible missing link) Russell Brand in India last weekend.
Perry, 25, and Brand, 35, are honeymooning in the Maldives, a nation of beautiful islands known to be frequented by celebrities so wealthy that they can buy their own churches or small nations who let them adopt their children on a whim. It’s also pretty nice for scuba diving.
The destination wedding included a tiger safari, but as tigers are an endangered species, they had to rent them. The couple also popped for periodontal root scalings for the tigers to avoid stink-breath to the tune of $200k per cat as guests who were willing to pop for the airfare were guaranteed to get up close and personal.
They paid $1,500,000 for an original Bollywood musical to be written performed live just prior to the ceremony.
We also learned that Perry wore a custom grey Elie Saab gown, $7k shoes and it cost upwards of $1200 for Russell’s back waxing for him to look decent in a sari.
The couple also paid $8k for Rihanna’s publicist to come up with a decent excuse for missing her "best friend’s" wedding.

Don't forget the $25,000 to shave Brand's back hair.
