Nancy O’Dell to Replace Mary Hart on ET

Los Angeles – Entertainment Tonight has announced to viewers that pay attention and focus their eyes really hard on the screen that Nancy O’Dell will be replacing long-time host Mary Hart at the end of next year. O’Dell with join ET as a correspondent in January 2011 and eventually take over as co-anchor with Mark Steines when Hart leaves.

In making the announcement one ET producer told Unsolicited Drivel: “When Mary Hart told us she planned to leave the show, we were in denial.  I mean, how were we going to find another non-confrontational, beautiful, blond talking head in Hollywood?  Then we realized we could probably just step outside the studio door and bump into one without even exiting the building.  But Nancy is talented and we figured the viewers who have been watching since Mary launched the show, sometime after the invention of television, might not even notice the switch.  Nancy is a real professional with a solid record of showing up and looking pretty.  Plus, in all of the years she spent on Access Hollywood, she was somehow able to keep a straight face while working with Billy Bush.  That ability to show no visible disdain for a sexist dolt might really come in handy if Mel Gibson ever gets back on the red carpet.”
