Los Angeles – In what is perhaps a case of too much, too soon, Golden-Voiced-Homeless-Man™ Ted Williams has voluntarily checked into rehab for substance abuse.
Williams’ difficult decision came after spending time in Los Angeles for appearances on Entertainment Tonight and The Dr. Phil Show and finding his hotel room, paid for by the media, stocked with enough Grey Goose Vodka to send Chelsea Handler into convulsions.
How did Ted fall so far, so quickly? Just this time last week, it seemed his fortunes were changing and he was headed back to the top.
One media insider told us, “I know, it’s very sad to see Ted backtrack so quickly. If I had to spend that amount of time in the same room with Dr. Phil, I would have had to blot out the memory with vodka too. But it wasn’t Dr. Phil, or Ted’s daughter insisting on using his face for a nail file that caused the relapse. I mean, what do you expect when Ted was scheduled to appear on every single infotainment show known to America and all within the course of one week? Even the most seasoned attention-grubbing whore, I’m talking Kardashian level here, couldn’t have kept up with that schedule and would very likely have cracked from the pressure just like Ted did. I think there’s good reason to hope that he’ll make a real recovery and be just fine once he’s released as long as he doesn’t end up with Lindsay Lohan as his sober coach.”
