What’s Next for Michael Steele?

Washington, DC – Members of the Republican National Committee elected their first chairman with an unpronounceable name, Reince Priebus, yesterday to replace disgraced Chairman Michael Steele. Steele dropped out of the race midday during the voting process and Priebus won the chairmanship over House Speaker John Boehner’s candidate, Maria Cino.

So what’s next for the speech-flubbing, failed fundraiser Steele?

Unsolicited Drivel caught up with our usual, unnamed political analyst who told us, “I'm not sure if Steele even has much a future left in politics. The obvious next step for someone of his skill-set would be to head up an agency such as FEMA, or to be the official spokesperson for a company such as BP. Unfortunately, both of those positions are currently filled. I would doubt that Steele would be welcome back in Maryland politics as his former running mate, Bob Ehrlich, is now a two-time loser in the gubernatorial race and was most recently disgraced over a robo-phone calling scandal to keep voters away from the polls. So, I suppose that would leave reality TV as his next move. Donald Trump has already cast the next season of Celebrity Apprentice. Dancing With the Stars is probably not feasible, as they are likely currently being reminded of the embarrassment that was Tom Delay with his recent conviction for money laundering. However, Skating With the Stars might be a good opportunity for Steele.  He certainly knows what it’s like to skate on thin ice as he did it for his entire chairmanship.”

Bill I Am said...

How about Skating with the Hilariously Incompetent Yet Able to Keep His Job Because He's the Only Major Person of Color in the Whole Party. Oh, wait a minute, he wouldn't be able to find a partner. Never mind.
