Congressman Fails to Pull the Plug On Obama

Brilliant economist Rep. Steve Womack
Washington, DC – President Obama will still have access to his teleprompter because an amendment drafted by Rep. Steve Womack (R-Ark) to pull the plug on him, has been withdrawn.

Womack admitted he withdrew his proposal because he couldn’t pinpoint exactly how much money making the President memorize his speeches instead of using the electronic device would save, as he “didn’t know nothin’ from kilowatt hours.”  He was later overheard grumbling under his breath, “I know we could have saved some money by asking Obama to do without like the majority of Americans.  Couldn’t replace the machine with a cue card guy though.  No siree.  Live humans would be wantin’ health insurance and all.  Anyways, he’s a politician and politicians have to be actors to be getting elected at all.  I think I made my point.  I don’t reckon there’s anything wrong with demandin’ he be memorizin’ his lines.”

Meanwhile, while demanding Obama do more with less, Womack's constituents back in Arkansas were wondering whether the Congressman was wasting his taxpayer paid salary to make a jack-ass out of himself over saving mere pocket change – more or less.
