Vatican City - Is the Pope on the ropes?  One faded Irish pop star can only hope.  Sinead O’Connor has recently publicly criticized the Vatican after a bishop had made a plea for parishioners to help the church compensate victims of child abuse…but insiders at the Vatican are suggesting that the singer can finance this all by herself by staging a Pope-a-Pa-Loser tour later this year.  The conservative cardinal from Germany, Joseph Ratzinger, was supposed to be the Pope for the new century.  Unfortunately, the church seems a little behind the rest of us.  According to the Guardian newspaper, the Vatican will be hit by a gay sex scandal traced all the way back to Pope Benedict’s inner circle and before the Easter Bunny will even have a chance to hide his eggs.  The His Holiness has been unavailable for comment, but we were able to reach a recently ousted Vatican insider, Cardinal Gepetto Scungillifungi, to get his take on how the Pope would handle the potential scandal.  He offered, "he has already hired a team of a, how you say…the public relations specialists to do the damage control. I think they were named, Goebbels, Inc., maybe?  They plan to focus-ah more on the good deeds of his youth, I think."
