No Foolin’ - Sarah Palin’s “Reality” Show Kicks Off Today

For some reason, Fox News chose today of all days, April Fools Day, to premiere  Sarah Palin’s new reality TV show.  Gosh, I love irony!  Can't get through a day without it.  Sarah launches her “Real American Stories” series tonight at 10pm.  The show will present real stories about people who have overcome adversity and more.  Originally, Fox had hoped to include people Sarah had never met through the magic of television, but that was too much of a joke on viewers - even for them.  So, they decided to go with brave and generous people for tonight's first episode - two types of folks that Sarah was also unfamiliar* with.  Fox will feature a heroic Marine and a lone stockbroker who doesn’t have wet dreams about bonuses.  One not so unusual, the other, kind of a freak of nature.  That must fall under their production goal of being "balanced."  As cable TV news stations are not typically beholden to “sweeps” periods, it still makes no sense that Fox chose this particular Thursday, April 1st, over any other Thursday.  Unless, that is, they also are planning on Sarah pretending to interview Jesus of Nazareth, and shoot the Easter Bunny.

*She was never properly vetted by McCain, so I can stand by my assessment.

I don't think "Reality" and "Sarah Palin" belong in the same sentence.
