Michael Jackson: One Year Later

It seems like only yesterday (especially if your days are a complete and total blur), but the King of Pop has been gone a full year now.  The world was stunned on June 25, 2009, when Michael Jackson died suddenly while rehearsing for his comeback tour.

My favorite memory of Michael Jackson was having to kick down the dorm room door* of my next door neighbor in college, who fell asleep in drunken stupor with the "Thriller" LP playing over and over again on her turntable for 8 hours straight, closely followed by Michael kissing Lisa Marie Presley on the MTV music awards.  We asked our readers how they would be remembering the most influential figure in pop music on this somber day and here is what they told us.

It’s hard to say, it depends on how the day goes.  At the very least, I’ll be spanking the monkey but I’ll put on a sequined glove first.

I guess I’ll pause and take a moment to hang this unsuspecting baby off of a balcony.  That is, provided my fire chief is nowhere in sight.

I'm going to replace my Capri Sun with Mom's Jesus juice.  I hope it tastes as good!  I might try a few of those little white pills she has too!

I’m going to “moonwalk” through my local Wal-Mart and hope my picture ends up on that website that features all the skanks who shop there.

I’m going to toast Bubbles the chimp with a bottle of bubbly while taking a bubble bath.

I’ll be placing a personal ad on Craig’s List trolling for chicks named “Billie Jean.”

We’ll be remembering Farrah Fawcett instead.

*Luckily, the building had shoddy construction.
