Good Christian Bitches Are Hot!

Los Angeles - At least they are to network TV executives.  Three networks, ABC, NBC and CBS are all rumored to all be trying to land Darren Star’s new nighttime soap, Good Christian Bitches.   Unlike some of Star’ earlier projects, like Melrose Place, this dramedy will be written by someone with actual talent - Steel Magnolia’s scribe Robert Harling, and will be based on the book of the same name by Kim Gatlin.

Producers have been tight-lipped about the new series, but we spoke with one source close to the project who told us, “Just think of it as sort of a Desperate Housewives only set in Dallas and without any gays.  The story will center on Amanda Vaughn, a recently divorced mother of two who moves to Dallas and it will revolve around her daily trials and tribulations.  You know, like maybe a she ends up in a heated custody battle and has to hire a hit man to take care of it.  Or,  her having to  join the PTA to keep the godless communists from infiltrating the educational system and help work to make the text books accurate.  She could also help in fighting illegal immigration by marrying and quickly divorcing her pool boy. Stuff like that.”
