The Garden State is sick of TV viewers thinking it’s a trash heap – a white trash heap! Or, more accurately - an orange (skinned) trash heap.
New Jersey officials are not at all pleased by the state’s depiction on MTV’s “Jersey Shore” and are THIS CLOSE to sicking the Jersey Devil on the producers. Well, actually they just would like to politely point out that the New Jersey coastline is not at all like the one we see portrayed on TV.
A spokesperson for the Governor’s office told Unsolicited Drivel, “They do not at all portray New Jersey accurately with their antics and that show is no reflection of real life. Just like most of reality TV. We don’t have high-haired Oompa Loompa-like people here. In fact, those people on the show aren’t even from New Jersey.”
We were also told that New Jersey was working on a public relations campaign to try and turn their image around. The final pieces haven’t gone to the printer yet, but we were able to get a hold of them to at least take a look during the conceptual stage.

I do get tired of the continuous mocking from people here in upstate NY who think this show and Housewives of NJ is a true representation of NJ.
Perhaps a Snooky go home campaign needs to launched?
