Statue of Liberty to Go Condo

New York – Real Estate developer Donald Trump announced at a press conference this morning that he is taking America’s famed Statue of Liberty monument condo.

Trump stated, “These magnificent residences will feature over 5,000 square feet of living space; bathrooms will be clad in French marble imported from the leftover renovation of the Palace of Versailles; they'll have generous 10-16 foot high ceilings, hardwood floors with timber from endangered tree species; Direct TV; bidets; GE steam washers and dryers, and panoramic views of Ellis Island.   Prices for the average units will start in the low $8 millions, with the penthouse crown listing at $35 million.  And for the  budget conscious, we also feature units with just a bench by a window and a half bathroom starting at $999,000.”

Trump also told Unsolicited Drivel exclusively that promoting this new development project will not distract him from his faux 2012 presidential campaign, because he was just using that as another distraction - from his failing ratings on “Celebrity Apprentice."  He also concluded that there’s never been a better time to develop the Statue of Liberty monument, as based upon our nation’s current feelings towards illegal immigrants, it doesn’t seem like we have use for it anymore.  Plus, America already has plenty of legal folks that are the poor, tired, huddled masses.”

I'll take the penthouse in the crown. Will you take a personal check? I can't move in for maybe 150 years though.
