Sorry, it’s soapbox Saturday.
I have always thought that Sarah Palin was delusional, simply for the fact that she thinks she can lead this country, but this week she proved it further. Would you defend someone who said these things ABOUT YOU?
“I am extremely disappointed in the choice of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential candidate of the Republican Party.”
“I’m stunned - couldn’t the Republican Party find one competent female with adult children to run for Vice President with McCain?”
“But really, what kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?”
“I am haunted by the family pictures of the Palins during political photo-ops, showing the eldest daughter, now pregnant with her own child, cuddling the family’s newborn.”
(From Dr. Laura’s Greatest Hits: Featuring Sarah Palin is an Embarrassment to Conservative Women)
I wouldn’t. I might even dismiss her as a real C.U. Next Tuesday. But that’s just what Sassy Sarah did this week – defended Dr. Laura. She also took an opportunity to remind us about our shameful past by referencing slavery and she also reminded us how much she loves guns. You betcha!
Ick. I don’t care if Alaskans feel the personal need to shoot their neighbors for looking at them sideways across the fence. If that is their intention, their state laws allow them to do so. I just don’t think there is any room in polite society to reference guns in a political campaign. The GOP only drags out that issue because they think they can confuse people over gun regulation and pretend the government is going to take away ALL guns as opposed to trying to regulate guns for psycho killers.
Thankfully, caller on bullshit supreme, the Reverend Al Sharpton, weighed in. Were you aware that Palin and rodeo clown Glenn Beck are holding a “Restore Honor” to America rally in DC next weekend on the same day (8/28) of the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s March on Washington and the "I Have a Dream" speech? Talk about tacky! Here’s what Sharpton had to say: "I wonder if she's going to tell people on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, on the anniversary of Dr. King's march. That she's telling Dr. Laura—who just resigned from her radio career over the n-word—to reload? Is that her dream? And is that what her message is, to try to bring about racial harmony in America?"' Well, she might just do that, Al. Remember, she’s delusional. Good thing Al didn't notice Palin also retweeted a tweet about Shirley Sherrod with her last name spelled wrong.
(You would think being a political analyst, Tammy Bruce would be able to spell the subject's name she's ranting about, but you would be wrong!)
Here is an old chestnut of a video I dug up from almost two years ago of John Cleese’s spot on (at least at the time) assessment of Sarah Palin. The only thing that’s changed since this video was shot is that she’s proved herself to be not as smart as a trained parrot as she must rely on crib notes!

Sarah Palin is an Imbecile-American. We should remember that all Americans, including Imbecile-Americans, have a right to their opinions. Thank you for this article, showcasing our premiere Imbecile-American.
