Cruise and Holmes to Boycott Hathaway as Oscar Host?

Los Angeles – There are rumblings among Hollywood insiders that former box office sensation Tom Cruise, and his wife/accessory Katie Holmes plan to boycott the Oscars this year due to a spot-on impersonation that the co-host of the show, Anne Hathaway, delivered of Holmes on SNL.

Supposedly, the couple feels betrayed by Hathaway’s impersonation of Holmes in the comedy sketch, as they were very supportive of Anne after her split from boyfriend/conman Raffaello Follieri, in 2008.



A pal told us, "Tom and Katie don't want to have to cross paths with Anne after that SNL performance.  They were very supportive of her after her break-up from Raffaello and even took her to a Tina Turner concert.  What could be more uplifting than seeing a survivor of an abusive relationship that has achieved such success like Tina?  Of course, Raffaello only hit Anne in the wallet, not in the head.  Anyway, the Cruises are pissed.”

Upon hearing of the couple’s Oscar boycott, one disappointed fan had this to say:

“I’m sorry, but I didn’t expect to see them there in the Oscar audience anyway.  Have you seen Knight and Day?  And Katie’s latest project, the made-for-TV The Kennedys has been shelved.  Honestly, I haven’t liked anything Tom’s done since before he met her.  But maybe I’m not the best person to ask.  I’m still smarting from my Tom-Kat protest group never catching on: Citizens Rallying Against Cruise & Katie Everyday, or C.R.A.C.K.E.D.”
