Lost Angeles - Yet another beauty pageant contestant is giving the land of the fruits and nuts a bad name. Lauren Ashley, who is representing the Golden State as Miss Beverly Hills 2010, has come out publicly to proclaim that “God wants gays dead” or something to that effect. According to Fox News, she was quoting the book of Leviticus from The Bible. Yes, ole Levi’s recommendation does include a tip about avoiding lying with the same sex. Ashley might have had more success making her case from a PR standpoint though if she had just played an audio version with someone like James Earl Jones reading it rather than paraphrasing.
She went on to say,
"I feel like God himself created mankind and he loves everyone, and he has the best for everyone. If he says that having sex with someone of your same gender is going to bring death upon you, that's a pretty stern warning, and he knows more than we do about life." Okay, she believes God loves everyone, but he still hates gays? If God really hated gays, why would “Ru Paul’s Drag Race” be one of the most entertaining shows on TV? Secondly, as she believes that God knows more about life than she does, she might want to double check with him to find out what the sexual preference of every male hair and makeup man in Hollywood likely is, as before they hit her with their magical pretty sticks, she looks like this:
