Campbell Brown to Leave Campbell Brown, Show to Retain Name

New York -

In a move that almost nobody noticed, Campbell Brown has stepped down from running the Campbell Brown Show, a news-commentary show along the lines of Countdown with Keith Olderman. The move was prompted by a recent survey on snark.com, a celebretainment site, which challenged its readers to identify the time of day the show was on, the network, or who or what Campbell Brown was. When the vast majority of survey respondents selected "Some type of fish" as their choice, snark notified CNN or CNBC, or whoever was running the show (we can't be bothered to Google it), which promptly asked Campbell to step down.

The show fared poorly in the ratings and never found an audience. "I think if the network hadn't put me on at the same time as some real powerhouse shows, like The Golf Channel's 'Famous 1950 LPGA Tournament Bloopers,' the Home and Garden's 'Episodes in Paint Drying,' or the History Channel's 'Hitler's Mustache Through the Years' Miniseries, I might have had a chance," the Nameless Nobody remarked. The network has announced that the search for the next Campbell Brown is on, and invited everyone with that name but the now itinerant interviewer to apply. "We're hoping the name recognition will give us a boost in the ratings," said some guy from whatever network the show is on.
