Cyberspace – Actor and director Fred Savage became the latest casualty in Internet death rumors last night after the “In Memoriam” segment of the 2010 Emmy Awards when viewers failed a reading test.
Despite the Emmy producers having Jewel sing background music during the video that was so sleepy that it would behoove a person to try and read the characters on the screen just to stay awake, many Americans did not. This failure led them to confuse the late Corey Haim with the not late at all Fred Savage (of Wonder Years fame), despite Savage having never likely been in the same room with a crack pipe.
So! The next time you think you want to vote for a political party (like the Tea Party) that wants to eliminate the Department of Education, think again, because you could be killing someone! Or, at the very least, their careers. A person’s phone doesn’t ring in Hollywood if people think they are DEAD. Poor Kevin Arnold!
