At first I thought she probably wanted to leave him because of his involvement in the new right wing-nut cable TV channel he plans to launch (which is doomed for failure), but now it seems Kelsey is not interested in being “bi” - coastal, that is.
Kelsey moved to New York earlier this spring to star in "La Cage Aux Folles" on Broadway. In case you are not familiar with the story, it’s about a gay nightclub owner in the south of France and his longtime companion, who is a drag queen.
Camille stayed in L.A. with the couple’s two kids and has flown in to visit him, but Kelsey shows no interest in returning to L.A. after his run in New York.
If you haven’t worked in the theater you might not know that it really leaves NO time for a personal life, so if Kelsey is making new friends, it’s likely they are among his (mostly male) cast mates. I heard him interviewed where he said his entire life is the show and then he falls into O’Hurley’s Saloon (a pretty cool pub BTW) across the street afterward for a late night snack. Then he falls into bed. That is his BORING workaday life that he so desperately does not want to leave.
Hmmnn. This story just got interesting as I have a feeling we’ll finally find out why “Frasier” was singing about tossed salads. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
